Life-saving care and 24/7 shelter.
Critical resources and emergency care for people experiencing homelessness who are in urgent and desperate need of help.
Right now, the number of people seeking help at Hope Mission has hit a record high.
Pressure is mounting on all sides as inflation skyrockets and more and more people find themselves in desperate situations. Hungry, homeless, and without any other option, they arrive at our doors searching for help. The need for safe and accessible 24/7 shelter is greater than ever before.
For some, safe shelter can be a matter of life and death. Our deepest concern is for our most vulnerable neighbours who are struggling with chronic conditions, amputations, addictions, or severe mental health concerns. Without providing safe shelter and other life-saving resources, the consequences could be tragic.
“If it wasn’t for Hope Mission, I wouldn’t have survived.”

Lack of housing, healthcare, emotional support, or practical necessities like ID can be significant barriers to people who are trying to get back on their feet. It can feel exhausting and overwhelming to overcome a difficult situation when every problem feels interconnected. Navigating these barriers can feel like a maze – and the prospect of doing it alone feels terrifying.
Every person that walks through our doors has an individual story and their own unique needs. By removing barriers and providing compassionate support, we can make sure that vulnerable people have the support they need to get back on their feet. They don’t have to struggle alone; there is help available to navigate their situation.
By removing these common barriers, people in need don’t stay stuck. They have the support they need to navigate intimidating systems and overwhelming paperwork. Their situation no longer feels impossible or overwhelming – and they can begin to build a better future.
